Winding Creek Equestrian Center is Dekalb Counties premier equine education hub! Winding Creek is an 80-acre facility located in the heart of Dekalb County, minutes from NIU and Dekalb to our South and Genoa to our North, Rochelle to our West and Sycamore to our East. We are less than a one-hour drive of the Western Suburbs.
We offer Horse Boarding, Riding Instruction, Horse Training, Educational Clinics, Youth Riding Camps, Opportunities to compete in Interscholastic Equestrian Association.

Award-Winning
We have a Conservation Design and Award-Winning Drainage System. This means that we have Minimal Mud in areas where our Equine friends live and play, dry-lots and paddocks have retention areas to slow water runoff, and no pollution of the creek that borders the property.
Eco-Friendly
We compost our manure / waste and incorporate it as fertilizer back into our hay fields in early Winter. We also recycle all water bottles, soda cans and plastics.

At Winding Creek Equestrian Center LLC., we have handicap accessible bathrooms and parking located right outside our indoor riding arena.

We Sell Hay!
We have 800lb Round Bales and 40-50lb small squares. Hay is a mixture of cool-season grasses (Kentucky Bluegrass, Rye, Timothy and Orchard) and Legumes (Red Clover, Alfalfa). Call today for pricing!
Spacious Grass Paddocks
We offer 1 acre grass paddocks for small horse groups. Each offers a 3-sided shelter for refuge in inclement weath. All have automatic watering systems that are checked daily and cleaned weekly. We also offer free choice of salt.
